Think of classic Judas Priest and even some Satan and you get the idea of what this release is like. The vocals definitely have the Halford highs and
right dynamics to convey a deep atmosphere extending far below just lyrics, the rhythms are those of classic anthemic metal alongside authentic and
memorable melodic leads, and cohesively the whole becomes more than the sum of its parts. I gladly can’t get past the vocals on this one, I was sold
instantly and then the rest of the band caught up with me and transported me to some distant N.W.O.B.H.M. realm with all of the vitality and
signatures that really built the heavy metal style from the ground up to its still towering and domineering presence, and I honestly love this album
for that.rn Mercury Rising is yet another much deserved and refreshing resurrection of rare and essential classic U.S. metal for us from the Greek
labels Steel Gallery/Arkeyn Steel, who know their metal and give each new release the love and royal treatment it deserves.rn
