Another classic US power/prog heavy metal assault is unleashed this month on Greece’s Arkeyn Steel Records, fully remastered and consisting of 3
studio demos, a live demo, and their previously unreleased, Speak MCD from 1991. Epic, classic Metalheads take note, this one is completely amazing.
Not as deeply prog as Fatal Morgana, this band has more of classic metal signature with progressive rhythms similar to the textures of Watchtower and
Psychotic Waltz.rnrnrnrnThere’s definite Watchtower circular loops of bass ramblings that are groovy and infectious, but with the production being
so perfect you can hear every pluck and thump of the bass and the whole mix just pops out in 3-D, it’s really chilling.rnrnThe vocals definitely
remind me of a nice hybrid of Psychotic Waltz (Buddy Lackey) and Queensryche (Geoff Tate) at times, the guitar tones are classic 80’s heavy metal as
they are always heavy and rhythmic, but also very melodic. This beast is released on the 6th of October so if you like what you’re reading so far
then don’t waste time in grabbing a copy of this limited release. The last thing I’m doing to end 2010 is grab up some of these gems and some
crazy vinyl hunts. This label along with Metal-on Metal Records have me hooked and fiending for their releases so if you like it all so far, then grab
